The terms for using Best Glasgow: editorial lists rather than advice, business pages and paid plans, fair use, liability and governing law.
These terms
These terms apply to every visit to Best Glasgow (bestglasgow.uk), a free set of lists of Glasgow businesses. By carrying on, you accept them.
An editorial opinion, not advice
Each list is our editorial view of which local businesses deserve a look and in what order. It is not legal, medical, financial, technical or other professional advice, and it promises nothing about a business’s work, prices, safety or availability.
We don’t do the work
Best Glasgow carries out no jobs, treats no patients, gives no quotes, books no appointments and takes no money from readers. Whatever you arrange, you arrange with the business itself, and any contract, warranty or finance agreement is between you and that business.
Where the lists come from
They are built from public information about each business, what its customers say about it, what it publishes about itself and the questions set out on our ‘How we select’ page. Pro gives a business a fuller page and Top a highlighted place on a list it was already chosen for. Both are labelled, and neither amounts to an inspection or endorsement by us.
Confirm the details yourself
We revisit the lists, but addresses, prices, phone numbers and opening hours change. Ask the business to confirm what matters to you, get quotes in writing and look up any registration the job calls for.
Pages claimed by owners
By claiming a listing, an owner confirms that they are entitled to manage it and that whatever they add is true, lawful and not misleading. We may correct or remove content that is not. Plan prices and renewal terms are shown in the business area before any payment, which Stripe handles.
Fair use
Please do not use the site unlawfully, copy the lists with automated tools, try to reach parts that are not public, pose as another person or business, or send us false details.
Our content
The text, the selection and order of businesses, the design and the name Best Glasgow belong to us or are licensed to us. A short quotation with a link back is fine. Anything more needs our written agreement.
Liability and law
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise we are not responsible for the work, goods or advice of listed businesses, or for the content of other websites we link to. These terms are governed by Scots law. Readers elsewhere in the United Kingdom keep any rights they have under the law of the place where they live. We may update the terms, and the version shown on the day you visit applies.
